The Captayne Elect- His Very Small Thinge

Welcome to the New International Routier, now with extra electrons.  Welcome, too, to the new editor, Louise, who has bravely volunteered to manage public communications between us and to the outside world.  With the Routier going online, it will be interesting to see how the dynamic changes.  Not only does it become a conversation rather than a publication, but the conversation (and the publication) are available to a much wider audience.  I hope they, and we, enjoy the experience.

Back in the world of atoms, I won’t say too much yet about my plans for the new year, but will reveal all before too long.  I want to get together first with the committee, both new and old, and put together a program.  I intend, too, to ask several of you to undertake particular projects.  For now, just let me warn you that I intend that you will all be picking up pike and musket more often next year than you have recently.  Also, polish up your dancing shoes and clear your singing throats – they may come in handy.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the end-of-year foodfest.  Be there!
