Portrait of a lady returns to Dunham

©Sotheby’s

Some exquisite close ups of a beautiful early 17thC painting, Portrait of a lady thought to be Vere Egerton, Mrs William Booth, attributed to Robert Peake (1541-1619) newly acquired by the National Trust on their Treasure Hunt blog.

(And a small woo hoo for figuring out how to correct the HTML coding all by myself!)

  1. Nice work on the HTML. Have a look at the NT blog, there’s the full painting and a number of detail pics. The shoes are brilliant.
